Official Health Claims

All health claims on this page are approved by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and comply with the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (Fødevarestyrelsen) regulations.*

Below, you’ll find only official, permitted health claims, nothing exaggerated, nothing misleading. Just clear, science-backed information to help you make informed decisions about your health.

A Note on EFSA & Saw Palmetto

There are currently no EFSA-approved health claims for saw palmetto.

This is not because saw palmetto is ineffective, but rather due to the complex regulatory process for botanicals. The European Commission placed all health claims for plant-based substances, including saw palmetto, on a temporary "on hold" list. This was done because the legal requirements for authorizing a claim for a food supplement versus a traditional herbal medicine were found to be different, creating a need for further consideration. Therefore, while there is a significant body of traditional use and scientific study supporting saw palmetto's benefits, a formal EFSA-approved claim has not yet been established.
